For this event we introduced our newest dish (to the far left in the clay casserole) Steak Barbacoa (steak barbeque northern Mexico style) the beef is slowly cooked then shredded and then it slowly marinates in a homemade chile paste, then its garnished with diced onions and a sprinkle of cilantro (for prices please contact us at 55. 44. 47. 19) this dish will be featured in the special of the month for April 2009.
We also served ceviche de pescado (fish cooked in lime juice), tostadas de maiz (baked corn tortillas), totopos, green salad with our in house cilantro dressing, two kinds of fresh homemade salsas, the red salsa was super hot!!! and the green chili salsa for the milder taste buds. The very tasty “Ledesma” chicken burritos, red rice, guacamole and if your mouth is not watering right now then wait until the dessert!!! Chocoberry tamales!!!
Chocolate tamales filled with fresh homemade “Shams” strawberry jam!!! yum yum
And to drown it all down Horchata (a must for Mexicans sweet rice water infused with cinnamon and lots of ice) or Jamaica juice (which is really our version of the karkade infusion but our is sweet, refreshing and great for those on a diet or watching their kidneys)
